TORONTO – Second baseman Ryan Goins was optioned to triple-A Buffalo on Monday by the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 26-year-old Goins hit .150 in 25 games for the Blue Jays this season with one home run and one run batted in.
Goins hit .252 in 34 games with the Blue Jays last season, his rookie year. He had two home runs, eight RBIs in 2013.
A corresponding roster move will be completed Tuesday before Toronto’s game in Kansas City.
