TORONTO – Terrence Ross says he’s happy to play in what he calls the best city in the NBA.
The Toronto Raptors drafted the Washington Huskies guard eighth overall in Thursday’s draft.
Ross was introduced at the Air Canada Centre along with Baylor Bears forward Quincy Acy who went 37th overall to Toronto.
Ross averaged 16.4 points per game last season and said it was a blessing when the Raptors drafted him.
Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo was also excited about the addition of Acy, who he compares to former Raptor Reggie Evans.
Colangelo plans to be active in the next few days as he prepares for Sunday when the free agent market opens.
