Apple, Samsung jury deliberating in smartphone case

SAN JOSE, Calif. – A California jury will enter another day of deliberations Friday in an effort to reach a verdict on a legal fight between Apple and Samsung over smartphone technology.

The four men and four women left the federal courthouse in San Jose on Thursday after a full day of deliberations.

Each company has accused the other of infringing smartphone technology. Apple Inc. is seeking $2.2 billion. Samsung Electronics Co. wants $6 million.

Jurors began deliberating after a monthlong trial.
