Lowry set to become a free agent, but sounds committed to remaining a Raptor

TORONTO – Kyle Lowry wouldn’t commit to returning to the Toronto Raptors, but it certainly sounds like that’s his plan.

Lowry met with the media the morning after the Raptors lost to the Brooklyn Nets 104-103 in Game 7 of their opening-round playoff series.

The loss eliminated Toronto from the playoffs.

Lowry, who becomes a free agent on July 1, called this season the best of his career, and says he’s never been on a team with this kind of chemistry.

All of Lowry’s teammates that met with the media said they want the point guard to remain in Toronto.

The Raptors also said they want Dwane Casey to return as coach. Casey’s contract expires at the end of this season.
