Julien says Bruins can play better, playoff hero Fraser savouring spotlight

BOSTON – Boston coach Claude Julien says the Bruins are playing well but can get better.

A Matt Fraser goal in overtime gave the Bruins a 1-0 win in Montreal on Thursday night that tied their second-round playoff series with the Canadiens at two games apiece. Game 5 is Saturday.

Julien says his team isn’t playing badly but has been better.

Fraser, meanwhile, continued to enjoy his moment in the spotlight after making his first NHL playoff goal an overtime decider.

The 23-year-old from Red Deer, Alta., said he was lunching at Chipotle in Providence, home of the AHL’s farm team, when he got the call from the big team.

Frozen yogurt, his dessert choice that meal, was trending on Twitter in Boston on Friday. As was Fraser.

About a dozen Bruins took part in an optional skate Friday.
