Vancouver police arrest 25-year-old man following three sex assaults this week

VANCOUVER – Vancouver police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a series of sexual assaults in the city’s Oakridge area.

Police say an officer on patrol spotted a man who matched a description provided by three recent assault victims and arrested him Friday night.

The first offence occurred on May 12, when a 22-year-old woman was pushed into the bushes and sexually assaulted.

The next attack happened on May 14, when a 19-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and sexually assaulted.

The third offence happened on the afternoon of May 15, when a 38-year-old woman was assaulted.

No charges have been laid and the suspect will appear in court next week.
