Bus rear-ends truck on Austrian freeway, injuring 40

VIENNA – Emergency rescue officials say a bus from Slovenia has rear-ended a tractor trailer on a freeway south of Vienna, injuring 40 people.

The bus driver and three passengers were most seriously hurt and were flown to nearby hospitals, while most of the others were treated at the site.

The accident occurred Tuesday near the village of Grimmenstein, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) south of the Austrian capital.
