KELOWNA – Rutland’s very own Kelowna Chiefs defeated Osoyoos Wednesday night.
The Chiefs earned a 4 – 1 victory over the Coyotes.
There was no scoring during the first 20 minutes of play and it wasn’t until the second period when Jagger Bowles (1G, 1A) scored to get Kelowna on the board at 16:26.
Nick Kovacik would add one before the end of the period.
In the third, Nick Josephs (1G, 2A) would score his first of the night, making the game 3 – 0. Osoyoos would score their only goal of the match-up at 8:59 thanks to Jackson DeMatos.
And Austin Fisher netted his second KIJHL goal to solidify the Chiefs victory.
The win marks the Kelowna Chiefs fifth straight victory.
Up next of the Chiefs, a road game against the North Okanagan Knights on Friday November 8th followed by a home game against the Summerland Steam on Saturday November 9th.
