TORONTO – Kyle Okposo will be in the Buffalo Sabres’ lineup as they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Okposo participated in Buffalo’s morning skate on Monday and declared himself ready to play in the Sabres locker room afterwards.
The 30-year-old right-winger was concussed after being felled by a punch to the face during a fight with New York Rangers defenceman Tony DeAngelo on Feb. 15.
Okposo laughed when asked by a reporter if he regretted dropping the gloves.
“No, I probably should,” said Okposo. “I don’t know, it’s part of the game. I didn’t think we were playing very well (that night) and it gave us a little spark. It is what it is.”
Okposo has 10 goals and 12 assists with a minus-11 rating in 57 games this season.
