Penticton RCMP seek help in missing person case gone cold

PENTICTON – Penticton RCMP continue to review cold cases and publicize them in an effort to generate new leads.

This week’s case involves Danny Ross who was 32 years old when he disappeared on Aug. 3, 2016.

RCMP general investigative officer Cpl. James Rutledge recounted the facts in a press release issued today, Jan. 21.

Danny Ross left his Abbott Street home in Penticton just before 10 a.m. for a scheduled appointment with Penticton probation on Aug. 3, 2016. He failed to show up at the appointment and after several days of having no contact with family or friends, he was reported missing on Aug. 9, 2016.

Ross was wearing a white T-shirt, tan shorts and white running shoes the day he went missing, and is described at being 6'1" tall and 190 lbs.

"The RCMP is committed to following up on investigations, no matter how old the files are, in the hopes of providing answers to families and justice for any wrong doing," Rutledge says in the release.
