Vernon RCMP seek witnesses to hit and run that left cyclist injured

VERNON – RCMP are appealing for witnesses in a hit and run incident that left a cyclist with minor injuries almost two weeks ago.

A cyclist was struck by a vehicle turning left from 25 Avenue onto 34 Street in Vernon just before 11 p.m. Feb. 20, according to an RCMP media release. The cyclist received minor injuries and was taken to hospital. 

RCMP say they believe the driver was behind the wheel of an older model grey or tan Toyota SUV.

"Anyone travelling through that area on the date or time that may have dash cam video is asked to review their footage and contact the RCMP if the incident was captured," Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett says in the release.
