Mounties in Kamloops, B.C., search for man who groped teenage girl

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – RCMP in Kamloops, B.C., are looking for a man who groped a teenage girl in a local park this week.

Police say the attack took place on Monday in Riverside Park, just steps from the washroom and the water park.

Const. Jason Epp says the man grabbed the girl from behind, put his hand over her mouth and fondled her.

The incident was interrupted by an older woman who came out of the washroom, saw what was happening and yelled at the man, who ran away.

Epp says the girl did not see the man and wasn’t able to provide a description.

Mounties are asking anyone who saw the incident, including the woman who witnessed the attack, to call them with information.
