WASHINGTON (AP) — Blake Harper’s 34 points led Howard past Delaware State 100-94 on Saturday night.
Harper also contributed six rebounds for the Bison (6-9, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Cameron Shockley-Okeke scored 24 points, going 8 of 12 (6 for 10 from 3-point range). Marcus Dockery shot 7 for 13 (2 for 6 from 3-point range) and 3 of 3 from the free-throw line to finish with 19 points, while adding six assists.
The Hornets (7-8, 0-1) were led by Martez Robinson, who recorded 28 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Robert Smith added 27 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals for Delaware State. Kaseem Watson had 22 points.
