iN VIDEO: Parts of Alberta get heavy snowfall just ahead of summer

Before you complain about the chilly weather in the interior, take a look at what some Albertans are dealing with.

Torn between fire and ice, our neighbour province has seen it all this month. These Water Valley residents woke up to an unusual sight this time of year.

This clip shows a backyard scene that is lacking the June essentials of barbeques and cold drinks, instead filled with fluffy, frozen flakes.

Earlier this week, mountain passes in B.C. were under a snowfall warning, but it has been lifted.

It seems that Alberta has gotten enough for both provinces.

Jenna Wheeler is a writer at heart. She has always been naturally curious about what matters to the people in her community. That’s why it was an obvious decision to study journalism at Durham College, where she enjoyed being an editor for the student newspaper, The Chronicle. She has since travelled across Canada, living in small towns in the Rockies, the Coast Mountains, and tried out the big city experience. She is passionate about sustainability, mental health, and the arts. When she’s not reporting, she’s likely holed up with a good book and her cat Ace.
