Mabel Lake Resort offers reward for answers to first theft in 35 years
KINGFISHER – A popular Kingfisher resort is offering a hefty reward to find the thieves who pilfered and vandalized the location's store.
The Mabel Lake Resort and Marina made a Facebook post on June 29 to announce that its laundry room, washrooms, and resort area had been vandalized. The thieves also brroke into the Resort's beach cafe and stole $400 in cash and numerous equipment pieces.
According to the post, the thieves damaged the cafe's ice cream cooler and destroyed 14 buckets of ice cream before they stole one bucket, a few pounds of cheese curds, binoculars, donuts, and a Jazz Speaker.
The post said this break-in was the Resort's first robbery in 35 years and the owners are taking it very seriously. They are offering a $750 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. The post said the thieves left running-style shoeprints with a star symbol on the sole.
Anyone with information on the break-in is asked to contact store@mabellake.com.
