Kamloopa Powwow Society searching for volunteers

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloopa Powwow Society is looking for volunteers for various positions throughout the August long weekend celebrations.

This year's 40th annual Kamloopa Powwow will take place from Aug. 2 to 4 at the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc Powwow Grounds.

Thousands of dancers come to the area to celebrate First Nations culture and heritage over three days.

The society is looking for volunteers to help with concession stand, janitorial, maintenance, parking and cleanup.

The deadline for volunteer applications is July 19 at 2 p.m.
