Ex-butcher from B.C. Okanagan is prison bound for sexually touching youth

VERNON, B.C. – A former butcher-shop owner in Vernon, B.C., has been sentenced to four years in prison for sexually touching a person under the age of 16.

Charles Taylor, also known as Jim Taylor, has pleaded guilty to the offence and must submit a DNA sample to the national sex offender registry.

He is also prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years once he is released from custody.

The first allegation surfaced in August of 2013, and police ended up with four separate files before the case proceeded to B.C. Supreme Court.

Taylor still faces three other charges in 2015. (CKIZ)
