Vancouver snowstorm causing delays at YLW

KELOWNA – If you’re flying out of YLW today, you might want to confirm beforehand that an airplane will be there waiting for you.

According to Airport spokesperson Jenelle Hynes, travellers should expect delays throughout the day because of the snowstorm in Vancouver.

“We have delays right now because the weather's been so bad in Vancouver,” Hynes says. “We’ve had a lot of planes leaving and departing but many are late getting here.”

She recommends travellers consult the airport website and double-check flight times before arriving at the airport.
