West Kelowna Mounties rescue dog from mountainside in Peachland

When no one else could help her rescue her dog from a dangerous situation, a West Kelowna woman knew she could rely on the RCMP.

Her dog ran down an embankment in a Peachland area provincial park and got stuck on a ledge yesterday afternoon, Dec. 23, according to an RCMP release.

She tried coaxing the dog back and tried other local resources and then tried the RCMP.

“West Kelowna frontline officers attended and safely extracted the dog from the mountainside ledge,” said Const. Solana Paré. “The owner and dog were both very happy to be reunited with the assistance of the responding officers.”
