Find somewhere else to eat: Restaurant in West Kelowna resort under renovations

Guests at The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna will have to look elsewhere to find food, as its restaurant is closed for a few months.

According to the Bonfire Restaurant's Facebook page, the eatery has been closed since Jan. 2 and will remain closed until March. The restaurant is managed by The Cove.

Within the last few months, ownership of the restaurant has changed over from a numbered company to The Cove Lakeside Resort.

Employees were initially concerned about losing their jobs after the numbered company announced it would cease operations, citing difficulties with turning a profit, but employees held on to their positions after a snap decision from The Cove, which took over the ownership in December 2019.

The Cove Lakeside Resort has not responded to requests for comment.
