Vancouver police investigating second and third homicides of the year

Vancouver police are investigating two separate deaths that mark the second and third homicides in the city this year.

Police say a man, who has yet to be identified, was found dead inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Marine Gateway Complex on Saturday evening.

Officers are also probing the homicide of a 45-year-old Vancouver woman who was found dead inside her Gastown home early Sunday morning.

Just after 1:30 a.m., police say they responded to a 911 call from paramedics who were unsuccessful in resuscitating the woman.

No arrests have been made in either case and police say they do not believe there is a risk to the public.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department's homicide unit.
