Day two of mail delivery disruptions in Central and North Okanagan
Canada Post won't be making any deliveries in Vernon today, while its employees will try to get mail and packages to people in Kelowna and Lake Country.
Canada Post said on its website that poor weather conditions will continue to hinder delivery efforts today, Feb. 7, in the North and Central Okanagan.
The Crown corporation announced in a "red alert" yesterday that mail and parcels would not be delivered in the North and Central Okanagan due to “inclement weather.”
Today the red alert in Kelowna and Lake Country was downgraded to a "yellow alert" which means delivery may be delayed "due to a temporary service disruption," but the red alert continues for Vernon.
