KAMLOOPS – Police and fire crews were called to the scene of a suspicious fire early this morning in North Kamloops and continue to investigate the cause.
The call came into police around 2:30 a.m. after a truck fire started in the McArthur Island parking lot. Police arrived after the on-scene fire crew deemed the fire ‘suspicious.’ The Dodge 1500 Extended Cab was destroyed in the fire and there appeared to be remnants of wooden pallets and a small propane canister.
RCMP continue to investigate today, following up who owned the vehicle and why it ended up charcoaled at the park.
