KAMLOOPS – A speed trap set up along a notoriously dangerous stretch of highway near Kamloops netted several speeders last Thursday.
Members of Tk'emlups Rural/FNP (First Nations Policing) officers conducted LASER enforcement on the Halston Connector during the afternoon of January 2. According to RCMP, the stretch of road, near the Salish Road intersection, sees excessive speeding regularily and has been the scene of several major collisions.
RCMP issued a total of ten speeding tickets for drivers who were going at least 25 km/h over the limit.
The officers will be back with more speed traps as they try to get drivers to slow down.
