Icy roads pile up the car crashes

RCMP WARN DRIVERS TO SLOW DOWN

KELOWNA – Extremely slippery roads kept the police in Kelowna hopping Sunday morning.

The RCMP responded to a flurry of car crashes. Drivers were losing control, sliding off the road or hitting other vehicles.

A crash on Swamp Road involved at least 5 cars.

No one was seriously hurt despite the high number of crashes.

Police issued a warning to drivers to be cautious and slow down.

“Slow down. Take some extra time and get to where you need to go safely,” RCMP Sgt. Ann Morrison said.
