iN VIDEO: North Okanagan resident brings joy with baby goat videos

It's "bringing a little joy to the world through goats."

That's the description for a newly launched YouTube channel, The Daily Goat, created by North Okanagan resident Gabriel Newman.

While some people took to baking bread or raising backyard chickens to occupy themselves through the COVID-19 pandemic, Newman has filled the gap in the little known shortage of adorable goat videos by creating a YouTube channel all about them.

The series of videos feature baby goats doing goat-like things – playing on their newly built playground, head butting each other – and largely just being adorable.

One video titled Meditating with goats 3 tells viewers to "relax and watch the kids play."

And after two-and-a-half-minutes of watching the frolicking kids play, it's hard not to be a little less stressed.

You can watch all Newman's goat videos here.

Ben Bulmer

After a decade of globetrotting, U.K. native Ben Bulmer ended up settling in Canada in 2009. Calling Vancouver home he headed back to school and studied journalism at Langara College. From there he headed to Ottawa before winding up in a small anglophone village in Quebec, where he worked for three years at a feisty English language newspaper. Ben is always on the hunt for a good story, an interesting tale and to dig up what really matters to the community.
