
Elderly man’s body found in vacant lot in Osoyoos
RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating after a body was discovered in a vacant lot in Osoyoos.
RCMP officers were called to a vacant lot at the end of Cottonwood Drive around 10 a.m. today, April 30, after being alerted by a walker of an elderly deceased man.
"Criminality is not suspected in the man’s death,” RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Jason Bayda said in a press release.
Investigators from the RCMP and Coroners Service looking into the man’s death to determine how, when, where and by what means he died.
RCMP will not be releasing the man's identity.
