Vancouver set to open PWHL season against fellow expansion Seattle on Nov. 21

TORONTO — The PWHL is set to return on Nov. 21.

The league released its schedule for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday with two new teams entering the fold.

PWHL Vancouver begins its inaugural season at home on opening night, taking on fellow expansion team PWHL Seattle at Pacific Coliseum.

Forward Jenn Gardiner, who grew up in nearby Surrey, B.C. and signed with Vancouver as a free agent after playing last season with the Montreal Victoire, called it “truly special” to start the season at the Coliseum.

“As a little girl, I dreamed of this moment, and I can’t wait to live it with my teammates and the fans on November 21,” she said.

Reigning two-time Walter Cup champion Minnesota Frost will host the Toronto Sceptres at Grand Casino Arena earlier that evening.

Walter Cup finalist Ottawa Charge open the season at TD Place on Nov. 22, hosting the New York Sirens. The Montreal Victoire opens on the road against the Boston Fleet on Nov. 23.

Every team will play 30 regular-season games, as they did in 2024-25. The regular season ends April 25.

The league will pause Dec. 8-15 for national team camps and Rivalry Series games between Canada and the U.S. in Edmonton on Dec. 10 and 13. Another international break runs from Jan. 29 to Feb. 25 for the Olympics.
