PETERBOROUGH — Matthew Soto had three goals and two assists as the Peterborough Petes cruised past the Oshawa Generals 7-3 on Thursday night in Ontario Hockey League action.
Adam Novotný, with two goals, Brennan Faulkner and Kaden McGregor provided the rest of the offence for Peterborough (4-4-0-1). Easton Rye kicked out 24 shots.
Vadim Smirnov, Brooks Rogowski and Owen Griffin replied for Oshawa (4-7-0). Jaden Cholette stopped 30 of 37 shots, while Isaac Gravelle made three saves in the final 10:03 of the game.
