Immense 3,500-acre property hits the market in Lake Country

With views of four lakes, a huge swath of North Okanagan land has recently come on the market in Lake Country.

The 3,400-acre property encompasses a piece of land that stretches from Highway 97 over the hilltop to Commonage Road and Carrs Landing.

Priced at $22 million, it’s a rare find to see such an extensive piece of largely developable land for sale in the region.

Realtor Faith Wilson has the listing and her ad states that three small parcels are in the Agricultural Land Reserve with the remaining zoned for country residential.

Referred to as Ellison Bench, it appears the land is mainly forested with the top being flat and providing “sweeping, majestic views.” Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake and Duck Lake can all be seen from the top.

“This untouched wilderness offers peace, tranquillity, and a unique opportunity for a legacy-minded owner to preserve and steward the land for future generations,” the realtor’s ad reads.

The site is also fully fenced, and the ad states it’s only minutes from Predator Ridge.

The pricey real estate came on the market earlier this month and is the second high-priced piece of land recently put up for sale in Lake Country.

A 500-acre piece in the southeast corner of Kalamalka Lake was recently put on the market for $45-million, making it the most expensive piece of real estate ever listed in the Okanagan.
