Two men were arrested after Kamloops cops surrounded a stolen private security vehicle at a local gas station.
They stole the vehicle in Salmon Arm around 11 p.m., Dec. 2, then fled to Kamloops, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release. Police later caught them at a Petro-Canada.
“The vehicle was located by Kamloops RCMP officers and a traffic stop was attempted in Dallas. The suspects fled from one officer but ran over the spike belt of another,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Brett Urano said in the release.
It continued driving before it came to a stop in the gas station parking lot, where the arrest was caught on video and posted to social media.
Police can be seen surrounding the immobilized vehicle as the two men were arrested.
Two Salmon Arm men, 25 and 38 years old respectively, will appear in Kamloops provincial court at a later date, according to police.
