The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is reporting new COVID-19 exposures on Kelowna flights.
On Dec. 17, Air Canada-Jazz 8418 flew from Vancouver to Kelowna and had a potential COVID-19 exposure affecting rows 10-16, according to the centre's most recent update, Dec. 29.
The centre for disease control also reported a COVID-19 exposure on Dec. 21, on Swoop flight 411 from Vancouver to Toronto.
If you are a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, Public Health contacts you directly to let you know. In cases where not everyone can be reached, Regional Health Authorities are posting public exposure information online.
Passengers on a domestic flight with a COVID-19 case should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, according to the centre.
For more information on the COVID-19 and flight exposures, visit the CDC's website.
Masks are mandated within all Canadian airports and on flights and B.C.'s health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has asked residents to avoid non-essential travel this holiday season.
