North Carolina Central wins 88-77 over Coppin State

BALTIMORE (AP) — Jae Slack scored 18 points as North Carolina Central beat Coppin State 88-77 on Saturday night.

Slack also added five rebounds for the Eagles (6-11, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Gage Lattimore shot 4 for 10 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line to add 16 points. Tekao Carpenter shot 5 for 7, including 4 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 14 points.

Jamari Piercy led the way for the Eagles (3-16, 1-1) with 19 points and two steals. Khali Horton added 15 points and four assists for Coppin State. Torrin Andrews and Hussain Williams scored 13 points apiece.
