Speed scores 24 as Loyola (MD) defeats Bucknell 67-62

BALTIMORE (AP) — Braeden Speed had 24 points in Loyola Maryland’s 67-62 win against Bucknell on Saturday.

Speed added five rebounds for the Greyhounds (7-14, 3-5 Patriot League). Tyson Commander scored nine points while finishing 3 of 4 from 3-point range.

Amon Dorries finished with 26 points and seven rebounds for the Bison (6-15, 3-5). Achile Spadone added 18 points, seven rebounds and five steals for Bucknell.

Speed put up seven points in the first half for Loyola, which led 31-23 at the break. Speed’s 17-point second half helped Loyola close out the five-point victory.
