Worrell scores 24, Morgan State knocks off Coppin State 89-80

BALTIMORE (AP) — Alfred Worrell Jr. scored 24 points as Morgan State beat Coppin State 89-80 on Saturday.

Worrell had five rebounds for the Bears (9-13, 5-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Walter Peggs Jr. scored 18 points, shooting 6 for 10, including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc. Elijah Davis shot 4 of 7 from the field and 7 for 12 from the line to finish with 15 points.

Demariontay Hall finished with 12 points for the Eagles (3-20, 1-5). Coppin State also got 11 points and eight rebounds from Taj Thweatt. Camaren Sparrow also had 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.
