What’s happening this weekend in the Okanagan and Kamloops

Looking for some lovely ways to spend your Valentine’s weekend? Here are the can’t miss events happening in Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton and Kamloops.

KELOWNA

  • Cozy Up For Two! Valentine’s Special – Enjoy a seasonal cocktail, honey wine tasting, and fireside treats at Meadow Vista Honey Wines from Feb. 6 to Feb. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets range from $49 to $85 per couple.
  • Annual Spread the Love Market – Celebrate Valentine’s Day with local vendors and heart-themed art activities at the East Kelowna Hall on Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Entry is free. Read more about this event in our full breakdown here.
  • Valentine’s Day Flower Truck Pop-Up – Build a bouquet with Bread & Butter Blooms and enjoy coffee and local gifts at Red Bird Brewing on Feb. 14 starting at 11 a.m. Entry is free, with flowers available while supplies last.
  • Valentine’s Singles Mixer – Sip wine, play games, and mingle during a Valentine’s singles event for adults ages thirty-five to fifty at The Vibrant Vine on Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $40.
  • Galentine’s Day Brunch – Celebrate friendship and good food at OAK + CRU Social Kitchen & Wine Bar on Feb. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations recommended and tickets are $52 each.

VERNON

  • Vernon Winter Carnival – Enjoy over one-hundred community events during one of Canada’s largest winter celebrations while they last from Feb. 13 to Feb. 15 across Vernon. Learn more about this event at our breakdown here.
  • Love Potions Lab – Kids can create colourful, fizzing “love potions” at the Okanagan Science Centre on Feb. 14, with sessions from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.
  • Galentine’s Day Tea – Enjoy tea, finger sandwiches, and desserts at the Mackie Lake House on Feb. 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person.
  • The Romance Couples Workshop – Connect with your partner through acro-yoga, massage, and love letter writing at Noble Yoga on Feb. 14 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $115 per couple.
  • Vernon Pride Prom – Celebrate identity, self-expression, and community at an inclusive dance for LGBTQ+ youth at the Trinity United Church on Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Entry is pay what you want.

PENTICTON

  • Chocolate Pairing – Enjoy five wines paired with four handcrafted chocolates at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards from Feb. 13 to Feb. 15. Tickets are $17.50 per guest.
  • Love at First Flight – Taste four wines served in mysterious black glasses for a fun, blind Valentine’s experience at Red Rooster Winery from Feb. 13 to Feb. 15. Tickets are $25 per guest.
  • Big Hearts Small Bites on the Naramata Bench – Enjoy wine tastings, small bites, and Valentine’s specials at participating Naramata Bench wineries on Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Prices and offerings vary by winery.
  • Chocolate and Wine Tasting – Indulge in five wines paired with five chocolates at Three Sisters Winery from Feb. 13 to 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person.
  • Salsa and Social – Enjoy an all-levels salsa lesson with Robyn Crocker, plus a glass of wine and bites at Hester Creek Winery on Feb. 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $30.

KAMLOOPS

  • Swing Sweet Valentine’s Dance – Dance the night away with a beginner lesson and social dancing to live music at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Feb. 13, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
  • Valentine’s Day – Enjoy a guided, riverside wine tasting with hand-selected estate wines and a sweet takeaway from Maryann’s Macarons at Monte Creek Winery on Feb. 14, with reservations every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person.
  • Taste of Italy: Venice Carnevale – Celebrate Venice’s Carnevale with masks, music, and Italian cuisine at Colombo Lodge on Feb. 14 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $80.
  • Blue Moon Jazz Night – Dance to live jazz and enjoy a dance lesson at The Effie Arts Collective on Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45.
