RCMP in Kelowna targeted drug dealers in a couple of busts earlier this month.
Members of the Gang Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop, March 13, and officers with the Crime Reduction Unit raided a home, March 17, according to an RCMP media release issued, March 25.
Officers with the gang squad pulled over a suspicious vehicle while on patrol, March 13, and while “interacting with the driver and passenger” found a loaded handgun and drugs packaged for sale, RCMP said. No word if any arrests were made or if the driver and passenger will face charges.

Crime reduction unit officers raided a home in the 1000 block of Lawrence Avenue, March 17, as part of a separate drug trafficking investigation.
Police seized 307 grams of methamphetamine, 117 grams of fentanyl, 53 grams of cocaine, 45 millilitres of suspected gamma hydroxybutyrate, 47 tablets of prescription opioids, drug trafficking paraphernalia and $5,950 in cash.
Seven people were arrested and taken into custody. The BC Prosecution Service has yet to decide if charges should be laid.
