TORONTO — Tennis star Victoria Mboko has withdrawn from Canada’s upcoming Billie Jean King Cup tie in Kazakhstan due to scheduled dental surgery.
The world No. 9 from Burlington, Ont., said in a statement Saturday that she is getting four wisdom teeth removed after experiencing recurring dental pain.
Marina Stakusic of Mississauga, Ont., is also withdrawing from the tie, citing back pain.
