The Kelowna Boat Show is back this weekend with everything from futuristic surfboards to poop deck barbecues.
The show is taking over the Kelowna Yacht Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 25 and 26.
“Whether you paddle, cruise, fish, or are wanting to explore your options for getting out on the water, the Kelowna Boat Show has something for everyone,” the club’s executive director Thom Killingsworth said in a press release.
There’s going to be more than 120 boats and 36 exhibitor booths.
There are going to be booths for every aspect of boating, including the fun stuff like insurance and how to avoid transporting invasive species.
Foil surfing companies like Okanagan eFoils and Nuefoil will be showing off the latest ways to glide across the lake.
This year is going to mark 30 years of boaters gathering at the club for a marine showcase.
“Since 1996, the Kelowna Yacht Club has brought this show to the downtown waterfront, and it really is a great way to see it all in one place, take a walk on the docks and visit the club for lunch,” Killingsworth said.
The show is entry by donation, and all of the proceeds go to the Kelowna Yacht Club Youth Sailing and Watersport Education. The fees from exhibitors go to maintaining the public mooring buoys located around Okanagan Lake.
