Boy, 8, injured after attack inside haunted house attraction in Surrey, B.C.

SURREY — Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating an alleged assault on an eight-year-old boy inside a haunted house attraction during the recent Khalsa Day celebrations in the city.

Photos of the two males suspects have been released and police are urging anyone with information on the case to come forward.

The attack happened April 19 at about 5 p.m., inside the haunted house called the Kreepy Kastle.

The attraction was set up in the parking lot of the gurdwara in the 12800 block of 85 Avenue.

Police say the boy was able to escape from his attackers but he suffered neck injuries that required hospitalization.

The carnival’s owner-operator is co-operating and police say the suspects are not believed to be members of the staff.
