Suspect in custody after stabbing in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP have a man in custody after an alleged stabbing yesterday afternoon.

A 42-year-old Kelowna man is awaiting court appearance after he allegedly broke into a home and assaulted a man on the 300 block of Seratoga Road, according to an RCMP press release.

RCMP responded to the incident on Feb. 21, just after 2:00 p.m., and arrested the suspect. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"This is an active investigation, and anyone with knowledge of this matter is asked to contact the police," Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in the release.

The investigation's findings are to be submitted to the B.C. Prosecution Service for review.
