Police investigate overnight homicide in Kamloops, B.C.

KAMLOOPS — Police say one person has been killed in a shooting in the British Columbia Interior city of Kamloops.

Mounties have not released any information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, only noting that the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators also believe the attack to be targeted.

Police say no information on the victim will be released until investigators make contact with their family.

They have also not released the location of the shooting but did ask anyone in the vicinity of the 200 block of Columbia Street between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. to reach out to police.

Those with dashcam footage of the area during the time in question are also asked to contact investigators.
