EDEN PRAIRIE — USA Curling is turning to Canadian curling legend Brad Gushue for its high-performance director position.
The 2006 Olympic champion will oversee national team operations, athlete development pathways and high-performance strategy.
Gushue, who recently retired from competitive curling, won the Montana’s Brier on six occasions.
In his new role, he’ll work closely with American athletes, coaches, and support staff to align practice and training systems, identify talent and guide competition planning, among other duties.
The 45-year-old Gushue will remain based in St. John’s, N.L.
