COQUITLAM — Police say a 33-year-old man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a stabbing last year that left another man dead.
Homicide investigators say Timothy Vansnick was originally charged with second-degree murder after the fight that took place outside a pub in Coquitlam on Jan. 31, 2025.
Police say bystanders tried to provide first aid and then emergency responders took over life-saving measures after the stabbing.
The man died at the scene.
Vansnick was charged with murder the next day, and police say he pleaded guilty to manslaughter on Tuesday.
He is scheduled for sentencing in December at the Port Coquitlam Law Courts.
