MONTREAL — The visiting Ottawa Redblacks built a 14-3 lead by halftime and then coasted to a 27-3 CFL pre-season victory over the Montreal Alouettes on Friday.
Quarterback Dru Brown completed seven of eight passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns for the Redblacks. Max Duggan completed six of nine passes for 69 yards.
Daniel Adeboboye had 25 yards on two carries and led all Ottawa rushers. Keelan White had five receptions for 57 yards.
Montreal quarterback Anthony Brown completed 15 of 19 pass attempts for 124 yards and one interception. Arnaud Desjardins completed 10 of 14 passes for 60 yards.
Michael Horvat was good on one field goal attempt from 20 yards out.
The CFL kicks off its new season on Thursday when the Alouettes visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

TIGER-CATS 20 ARGONAUTS 14
Jake Dolegala completed 10 of 18 passes for 189 yards, one touchdown and one interception as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats tripped the Toronto Argonauts 20-14.
The teams were tied 14-14 entering the final quarter.
Tre Ford had five carries for 38 yards to lead the Tiger-Cats rushers, while receiver Jaelen Gill had three receptions for 110 yards. Jerjuan Newton had three catches for 87 yards and three touchdowns.
Argos’ quarterback seven of 15 passing for 64 yards and one interception. Samuel Hicks rushed for 51 yards on four carries and scored a touchdown.
LIONS 30 BLUE BOMBERS 19
Quarterback Nathan Rourke completed six of eight passes for 99 yards, while Chase Brice completed nine of 11 for 159 yards and two touchdowns as the B.C. Lions beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 30-29.
The Lions led 20-13 at halftime and 23-13 heading into the final quarter.
Emani Bailey of the Lions rushed for 57 yards on 10 carries, and receiver Nick Cenacle hauled in four passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Sean Whyte was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, with his longest coming from 49 yards. Mark McNamee added a 28-yard field goal for the Leos.
Bombers’ quarterback Taylor Elgersma completed 11 of 20 passes for 127 yards. Bryce Perkins rushed for 36 yards and one major, while Elgersma rushed for 18 yards and one touchdown.
Sergio Castillo made a 61-yard field goal and Brady Lidster connected on one from 28 yards out.
STAMPEDERS 21 ELKS 18
The Calgary Stampeders led 14-8 at halftime and held on to beat the host Edmonton Elks 21-18 in an exciting Battle of Alberta preview.
Quarterback Josh Love completed seven of eight passes for the Stamps, for 80 yards and one touchdown. Rusher Jacolby Criswell had five carries for 41 yards and one touchdown.
Cody Fajardo completed nine of 11 passes for the Elks for 96 yards, while Zach Zebrowski was 7-for-10 for 60 yards. Quarterback Cole Snyder had four carries for seven yards and two touchdowns.
Vincent Blanchard was good on one of two field goal attempts, connecting on one from 47 yards out.
