HAMILTON — Wynton McManis’s debut with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will have to wait.
The Ticats listed the veteran linebacker as being out for their regular-season opener Thursday night versus the Montreal Alouettes at Hamilton Stadium.
According to the team’s injury report, McManis has a knee ailment.
McManis, 31, joined the Ticats during the off-season following four seasons with the Toronto Argonauts.
The six-foot, 220-pound McManis helped the Argos win two Grey Cups (2022, ’24) during that span while also being named a CFL all-star twice.
The Ticats also listed American receiver Shemar Bridges (groin) as being out.
This report by The Canadian Press was first published June 2, 2026.
