Kamloops RCMP release image of thrift store masturbator

RCMP are hoping someone will recognize the suspect in a public masturbation case.

A woman shopping at Value Village on Columbia Street West at around 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, told police she felt someone staring at her and turned to see a man masturbating near her.

She said when the man realized she had seen him, he left the store and drove off in a late model, silver Honda Civic.

She contacted police who launched an indecent act investigation.

“To date, police have been unable to identify the male and are now releasing a photo to further the investigation,” RCMP Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said in a media release issued today, June 10.

RCMP described the suspect as an approximately 30-year-old Caucasian male, six feet tall with a short, dark beard and a medium build. He was wearing a floral button-up shirt and gold rimmed sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and refer to file 2026-16921.
