KELOWNA, B.C. – Myles Bell scored twice and set up one more as the Kelowna Rockets crushed the visiting Red Deer Rebels 8-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Ryan Olsen and Cody Fowlie each scored twice for the Rockets (12-6-2), who won for the fifth time in as many outings, and Rourke Chartier had a goal and two assists.
Tyrell Goulbourne added a single goal to round out Kelowna’s offence.
Matthew Dumba scored the lone goal for the Rebels (10-11-2).
Jackson Whistle made 23 saves for the win as Patrik Bartosak stopped 21-of-24 shots before leaving the game in the second period.
Bolton Pouliot stopped 17-of-22 shots in 33 minutes of relief.
Kelowna went 1-for-4 on the power play while Red Deer failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
