VANCOUVER – Tom Soehn has left the Vancouver Whitecaps in what the Major League Soccer club said was a “mutual parting of ways.”
Soehn was the club’s director of soccer operations and was also the team’s interim head coach for half of the 2011 season.
“Tommy played an important role in building our club as we transitioned from the North American second tier to Major League Soccer,” Whitecaps president Bob Lenarduzzi said in a statement. ”
The Chicago native joined the Whitecaps in January of 2010 and helped develop and manage the club’s player scouting, identification, and recruitment systems.
“I enjoyed my experiences in Vancouver and look forward to the next opportunity,” Soehn said.
