Smith, Grist score in final two minutes to help Kamloops shock Swift Current 2-1

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – The Kamloops Blazers scored twice in the last two minutes of regulation to stun the Swift Current Broncos 2-1 in Western Hockey League play Tuesday.

Colin Smith tied the game at 18:16 and Sam Grist got the winner 36 seconds later as the Blazers improved to 22-7-3.

Coda Gordon scored in the second period for the Broncos (12-14-5).

Kamloops goaltender Cole Cheveldave stopped 15 shots, while Swift Current’s Eetu Laurikainen turned aside 30.
